Police search for owners of flag found on Prince George’s Co. road

Police are searching for the owners of a flag found on a busy road in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

A flag was found on a busy road in Prince George’s County, Maryland, and police believe it may have belonged to the family of a member of the U.S. military.

The flag — folded and in a shattered glass display case — was found July 17 on Central Avenue at 10:50 a.m.

The man who turned the flag in to police, and remains unidentified, said he could not find any  information on the case that could identify the family it belonged to.

Prince George’s County police released a video thanking the man who brought in the flag.

Police ask anyone with information about the flag to call them at (301) 772-4710, or email police_mrd@co.pg.md.us.
