The stationary front situated across the mid-Atlantic is pretty much …still stationary. In this pattern, occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms have been developing due to minor disturbances along the front and daytime heating. Over the next couple of days, the front will slowly be pushed south of our area in response to high pressure building into the region from coastal New England. But details lie in the timing. Complicating the forecast is the fact that winds will become easterly...off the Atlantic Ocean…heading into the weekend. Daily showers will continue to be a possibility tomorrow and Saturday. Sunday may feature some sunshine. Both weekend days, with the easterly winds, temperatures will be somewhat cooler than today.
