Derek Brown's recipe!
12-14 oz. Silver Cup
1.5-2 oz. Bourbon
˝ oz. Cane syrup (2:1)
Add mint to bottom of the glass. Add simple syrup and gently muddle mint into syrup, rubbing around the edges of the glass. Do not over-muddle the mint. Discard excess mint, leaving syrup behind. Fill glass half way with crushed ice. Add Bourbon. Jiggle ingredients but do not stir. Add crushed ice on top until mound forms. You may add an additional quarter ounce of simple syrup over mound if you desire. Garnish with large mint sprig and dust with powdered sugar.
