Would you believe The Wolf Trap Opera Company?!?! It is considered one of America's top residency programs for emerging young professionals hoping to make it in Opera. And now Wolf Trap Opera has announced it's 2013 summer season and the line-up of Filene Young Artists and Studio Artists. The diverse roster includes 36 up-and-coming singers selected in a comprehensive nationwide audition tour. The season will feature three new productions, including Verdi's masterpiece La traviata; Rossini's The Journey to Reims and Verdi's Falstaff. The GI Film Festival partnered with Sip With Socialites to hold an exciting military bachelor auction hosted by the Embassy of Austria. It was to raise funds and awareness for the upcoming GI Film Festival 2013, taking place May 6-12 throughout the DC area. The highest bidders won a dinner date with some of DC's most eligible military bachelors at one of DC's Top restaurants. The ringer for this first ever event for the GI Film Festival actor Scott Elrod, recently seen in the film Argo and soon to appear in Lone Survivor alongside Mark Wahlberg. Son of an F-16 pilot, Scott followed in the footsteps of his father and served in the United States Air Force as an air traffic controller from 1994-2000.
