Nats play softball
in the form of the Washington Nationals Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team. The WWAST (Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team), represents some of our nation's bravest and most determined heroes, soldiers and veterans. These young extremely athletic men have sustained severe injuries resulting in amputation while serving in the military/war, and through extensive rehabilitation, they have become competitive athletes again. The Nats and WWAST are now officially partners.

Bake Bethesda a Pie Contest
The second annual Bake Bethesda a Pie contest mounted by the Bethesda Central Farm Market is coming up. Registration the second annual Bake Bethesda a Pie contest mounted by the Bethesda Central Farm Market. Entries will be accepted through August 31, 2011 at 5 pm. There is a $5 donation fee for each pie entered and will be collected on the day of the contest. The donation will go to Manna Food Bank.
