Ex-officer sentenced in fatal Va. shooting to be released next week

On the same day former Fairfax County police officer Adam Torres was sentenced to one year in jail for shooting and killing an unarmed man in 2013, the Fairfax County Sheriff's Office says he should be released next week. The family of John Geer, who died standing in the door to his Springfield home, called the sentence "offensive."
