Riders contradict Metro escalator accident reports
A metal panel on an escalator snagged on a bag or loose clothing around 8:40 a.m. Tuesday, causing it to rip off the railing, according to Metro. It struck several people. Five were hurt and three were taken to the hospital with non- life-threatening injuries.
