Marcus Lustig is an assistant editor in the WTOP newsroom and he engineers audio as a member of the technical operations team.

Marcus has produced live radio before at “The Joe Madison Show” on SiriusXM’s UrbanView channel. He also works as an assistant producer and contributor on the D.C. comedy podcast, “Hey Frase.”

Marcus is a born-and-bred Washingtonian and stayed in town for college, double-majoring in History and English at Georgetown University. He wrote a senior thesis about the history of blackface minstrelsy—a deeply racist, wildly popular 19th century American theater form—on campus at Georgetown University. Outside of class, he wrote and performed comedy for the stage and continues to do so today. Marcus joined WTOP after graduating in May 2019.
