Laura Spitalniak joined the WTOP edit desk at the beginning of 2020 (post-impeachment but pre-pandemic).

She previously worked at WAMU, ABC News and CBS News. She is a graduate of the Philip Merrill College of Journalism and the daughter of a librarian.

Whes she’s not on the job, Laura enjoys hanging out with her foster pets, reading (everything), restoring furniture, and creating a green space within her apartment (despite the best efforts of said pets).
