Meashel Gilliard joined WTOP in 2024 as a traffic reporter.

Born and raised in Prince George’s County, Meashel graduated from Temple University in 2013. She received her MBA from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2016. 

Prior to joining WTOP, she has been covering traffic in the Atlanta area.

In addition to her experience as a traffic producer/anchor, she has also worked for Apple Music Radio as a producer, done work in the podcasting arena and worked for 98.7FM ESPN NY as a producer.
