Beer of the Week: RaR Nanticoke Nectar IPA

WTOP's Brennan Haselton is joined by Neighborhood Restaurant Group Beer Director and Food and Wine Sommelier of the Year Greg Engert to talk about RaR Nanticoke Nectar IPA .
Quick facts on RaR Nanticoke Nectar IPA Brewery: RAR Brewing, Cambridge, Maryland
Beer type: IPA. RAR describes it like this: “Starting with citrus notes that progress into bold grapefruit and pine, the Nectar finishes clean with a balanced, pleasantly hoppy, bitterness. A subtle yet deep English malt profile not only stands up to, but elevates the hop notes while a slight malt sweetness underlines the experience.”
Fun fact: The beer is named after the Nanticoke Indian Tribe, from the Eastern Shore.
Pairs best with: Seafood (see slide 3 for more details) (Photo courtesy WTOP/Brennan Haselton)
It doesn’t have a shell. Or legs and claws. But this offering from the Eastern Shore might please your taste buds just the same.
