Reem Nadeem discovered her passion for news as a 7th grader when she designed a regime-crushing quiz to test which teachers were “middle school cool.” Although she has yet to live up to her pre-teen success, she worked at a school publication every year afterwards.
She also served as a news editor at George Mason’s student-run paper, the “Fourth Estate,” where she won an award for outstanding writing in journalism from the Department of Communications.
She’s freelanced for the Connection Newspapers in Northern Virginia, and currently writes about local theater and art for “On Tap” magazine.
In rare moments of free time, she likes to read. Send story ideas, comments and memes to rnadeem@wtop.com.
