Nahal Amouzadeh’s interest in journalism started watching Christiane Amanpour on CNN with her dad.

Since then, her experience has ranged from print to web to now radio. She graduated from UCLA after double majoring in English and Gender Studies. During her time there, she became the Opinion Editor for FEM Newsmagazine, UCLA’s feminist newsmagazine since 1973, and found her passion in advocacy journalism.

After graduation, she became a reporting fellow for Everyday Feminism and is happy to be at WTOP as a Digital Writer/Editor and Social Media Specialist.

A California native, she misses the Pacific Ocean every day.
