Matt Delaney decided one day during his senior year of college that he was going to become a journalist. And so he approached that ambition from the only place he could think of — the ground floor.
Starting as a substitute teacher by day and a freelance sports reporter by night, Matt eventually landed the News Editor job at the mighty Falls Church News-Press in Northern Virginia in 2017. He began dividing his time between there and WTOP in early 2020, and left the News-Press in 2021.
