TripAdvisor names 10 best value hotels in America

WASHINGTON — Need a place to stay during your fall travels? Here are the 10 best value hotels across the country this season, according to TripAdvisor.

And high on the list is a hotel located right in D.C.

The list is based on TripAdvisor’s price comparison of 200 booking sites and traveler reviews. The travel site looked at several qualifying criteria, which included hotels that cost less than $300 per night with at least 3.5 stars and at least a four-bubble rating on the website.

10. Mayflower Park Hotel – Seattle, Washington Enjoy this historical building in a downtown Seattle location. Take a walk to Pike Place Market or hop on the Monorail to get to the Space Needle. “Believe all of the positive reviews for the Mayflower! 9. Bahia Resort Hotel– San Diego, California Visitors can easily take in Pacific Ocean views from this hotel. According to TripAdvisor, the hotel also offers private beach access. “This hotel is very convenient to walking to the parks and Mission Beach. 8. The Hotel of South Beach – Miami, Florida Rooftop pool? Art Deco? An ocean view? Say hello to Miami. “Rooftop pool area is lovely, a view over the ocean, bar service with fab cocktails and snacks and a pool just big enough to cool off in,” a TripAdvisor reviewer wrote. 7. The Point Hotel & Suites – Orlando, Florida This family-friendly hotel offers something for everyone: shuttle service to nearby Orlando theme parks, and poolside dining and cocktails. 6. Inn of the Governors – Santa Fe, New Mexico This hotel bills itself as a “southwest oasis” and enjoys a nearby location to the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum and historic Santa Fe Plaza. 5. Quarter House Resort – New Orleans, Louisiana  Visitors who want a prime location in the French Quarter should consider this spot. 3. Hacienda Del Sol Guest Ranch Resort – Tucson, Arizona  Stay where the stars have rested; TripAdvisor said the resort can name Hollywood icons Katharine Hepburn and John Wayne among their guests.
