PHOTOS: Poppy Wall of Honor returns to National Mall for Memorial Day weekend

Hundreds of thousands of bright red poppy flowers are back on the National Mall in D.C. to honor fallen U.S. military members this Memorial Day Weekend.

The Poppy Wall of Honor pays tribute to the 645,000 members of the American armed forces who have died while in service since World War I.

It can be found between the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and Constitution Gardens Pond on the National Mall.

Thousands of visitors came out in 2019 to view the art piece.

Here’s when the exhibit is open:

  • Saturday, May 28: 9 a.m. — 9 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 29: 9 a.m. — 6 p.m.
