Sam Delgado joined WTOP News in December 2025 as a digital editor and writer.

Prior to WTOP, Sam served as a Future Perfect fellow at Vox.com, covering climate, public health, labor and other beats. She has also worked at More Perfect Union as their production manager, where she collaborated closely with producers to make their documentary-style stories come to life.

Sam is passionate about local news and has written a wide range of stories for The 51st and Civil Eats, often incorporating video and photos she takes on her Sony camera into her stories.

She hails from San Antonio, Texas and has lived in Columbia Heights since 2020. In her free time, you can find her hanging out at her favorite coffee shop and hosting board game nights at her apartment.
