Seahawks 39 In perhaps the best game of the week, another birthday boy balls out: Russell Wilson spent his 27th birthday throwing a career-high 5 TDs with no picks (the 5th QB to do so this month) and got Seattle over .500 for the first time this season. Losing Jimmy Graham for the season will hurt so Wilson may need more days like these. So too will Pittsburgh: Todd Haley might like missing parts, but Kevin Butler can’t like the prospect of life without Ryan Shazier on that already-sagging defense. Broncos 30 (OT) Brock Osweiler is the first QB to lead his team to a win over the Patriots when down 14 or more points in the 4th quarter since … Peyton Manning in 2009. That’s not the only way he’s replacing #18 … And Tom Brady is great, but asking him to drag a team to the Super Bowl without Gronkowski, Edelman and Amendola is a bit much. Lions 45 How bad is it for Philly right now? Thursday they mustered a historically bad -9 yards in the 2nd quarter, became just the sixth team in NFL history (and only 2nd since the 1970 Merger) to allow 5 TD passes in back-to-back games, and gave up a mindnumbingly awful 90 points in one calendar week. With a trip to New England next, they might give up 90 points next week too. And if you’re not paying attention to Ziggy Ansah, you’d better start. Cowboys 14 It’s ironic that Greg Hardy called Carolina a nameless, faceless opponent … because Hardy was nameless and faceless against his former team on Thursday. Given Tony Romo’s out for the season after reinjuring his shoulder, Hardy may soon be team-less if he doesn’t shut his mouth and help Dallas reverse this 0-without-Romo trend (0-9 without #9 in their last 29 games). And if you’re not giving Carolina their respect, you’re way late: their 15 straight regular season wins is tied for the longest streak by an NFC team since the 1970 merger. The other two won Super Bowls (2010-11 Packers, 1989-90 49ers). Cam’s swag is so far in the mesosphere, it can’t even be seen with the naked eye.
