Tips sought in Dumfries firebombing

WASHINGTON — Prince William County police and fire officials are asking for the public’s help in finding out who firebombed a house in Dumfries.

Prince William County Crime Solvers said that firefighters headed to a fire in the 17500 block of Victoria Falls Drive at about 2:40 p.m. July 14.

When they got there, someone in the house had put out the fire, but while they investigated, the firefighters found evidence of Molotov cocktails — one in the house, another in the front yard.

There were seven people in the house at the time, including children, fire officials say, but no one was hurt.

If you have information about this incident, call 866-411-TIPS, or submit your tip online anonymously.
