PHOTOS: Cherry Blossoms 2022

It’s official. Cherry blossoms in the D.C. area have reached “peak bloom.” With the weather being kind, thousands have continued to flock to the National Mall, the Tidal Basin and other sites around the area, to witness this yearly exhibition of nature’s beauty.

Events around the annual bloom have picked up this year as National Cherry Blossom Festival organizers welcome the first in-person festival since before the COVID-19 pandemic.
