Loudoun South’s run in the Little League World series came to an end after a 10-0 loss to Louisiana Thursday night.
The team from South Riding, Virginia, had its first loss in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday night against Hawaii.
Despite the losses, the boys have plenty to be proud of: Loudoun South is the first Virginia team to reach the Little League World Series in Williamsport since 1994, when Central Springfield finished third overall.
“It’s been a long road; we’ve been together for over 80 days, and I never dreamed we would get here,” Loudoun South coach Alan Bowden said during a new conference.
