Sleek and fast are the main words to describe this 2025 Polestar 3 Launch Edition.
First, the sleek: I counted a grand total of one physical button inside this midsize, two-row, electric SUV. It’s a volume knob that can also pause or play audio.
Most everything else can be done through the big, 14.5-inch center display — even opening the trunk and the glove box. Voice controls are also a top option. The shifting is done through a lever on the steering column, thankfully.
Polestar is essentially Volvo’s all-electric offshoot, and this Polestar 3 offers 315 miles of range, per the window sticker.
Second, the fast: I charged the batteries from 24% to 99% in about 90 minutes for $47.44. After that, it showed 250 miles of range.
Regardless of the total, it’s easy to melt those miles away by mashing the accelerator pedal.
This one makes enormous amounts of top-end and low-end power — the kind reserved for race cars and heavy-duty pickups a couple decades ago.
That power is put down through all four wheels.
There are comforts, too: Heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel and even heated wiper blades. There’s also a panoramic glass roof, a premium sound system and soft-close doors, which close themselves the last fraction of an inch if left ever-so-slightly ajar.
Hopefully, this fancy and fast machine can justify its price for you.
It comes in at $82,600, after shipping.
