2017 NFL Week 4 Recap

WASHINGTON — Here is a recap of NFL Games.

Buffalo-sized upsets, Bane, and black power poses were just some of what NFL Week 4 had in store.

Redskins 20
Chiefs 29 The Redskins did some good things on a Monday night for a change: They stopped Kansas City’s streak of games with a 50 yard touchdown, Vernon Davis moved to 10th on the all-time receiving list among tight ends, and went toe-to-toe with the last undefeated team in the NFL. But the defense sustained a ton of injuries so their otherwise early bye comes just in time to help offset The Bodybag Game 2.0. (AP Photo/Ed Zurga)

Colts 18
Seahawks 46 Seattle outscored Indy 36-3 in the second half to post their highest scoring prime-time game in 15 years. That’s right … a team that scored a combined 48 points in their first three game nearly doubled that in one fell swoop. The Colts are a dumpster fire. (Photo by Jonathan Ferrey/Getty Images)

Raiders 10
Broncos 16 Oakland’s stunning offensive struggles continued, Derek Carr left with a back injury, and Marshawn Lynch is making more of a statement off the field than he is on it. I’m legit concerned next week’s Raiders-Ravens game will end in a 3-3 tie. (Photo by Justin Edmonds/Getty Images)

Bucs 25 New York lost on a last-second field goal for the second straight week and both of Tampa’s cannons were back: The one in the pirate ship and the one attached to Jameis Winston’s arm. (Photo by Brian Blanco/Getty Images)

Eagles 26
Chargers 24 It was fitting Philly wore their home green jerseys considering how many Eagles fans were in the stands. The Chargers really are a season-long road team. (Photo by Sean M. Haffey/Getty Images)

49ers 15
Cardinals 18 (OT) Carson Palmer’s game-winning touchdown tied him with Johnny Unitas for 13th on the all-time passing touchdown list. For at least one week, Bruce Arians doesn’t look crazy for saying Palmer is playing his best ball. (Photo by Norm Hall/Getty Images)
HOUSTON, TX - OCTOBER 01: Deshaun Watson #4 of the Houston Texans celebrates with Bruce Ellington #12 and Lamar Miller #26 after scoring on a one yard run in the second quarter against the Tennessee Titans at NRG Stadium on October 1, 2017 in Houston, Texas. (Photo by Bob Levey/Getty Images)
Titans 14
Texans 57 Deshaun Watson led Houston to a franchise record 57 point-game and became the first rookie quarterback to throw for four touchdowns and rush for one since Fran Tarkenton in 1961. Heck, I’d have swag too. (Photo by Bob Levey/Getty Images)

Ravens 9 Dear T-Sizzle, I’d like to congratulate you on a perfect portrayal of Bane. Just like the character in the movie The Dark Knight Risesyou looked really tough in the beginning and were left crying in defeat at the end. You have a promising acting career ahead of you. Sincerely, Rob Woodfork (Photo by Patrick McDermott/Getty Images)

Jaguars 20
Jets 23 (OT) In a game dangerously close to ending in a tie, the Jets made me eat my words by doubling their projected win total in only a quarter of the season. Gang Green has at least a week to enjoy bragging rights over not only me, but big brother; at 2-2, the Jets actually hold a meaningless tiebreaker over the hated Patriots. (AP Photo/Bill Kostroun)
MINNEAPOLIS, MN - OCTOBER 1: Dalvin Cook #33 of the Minnesota Vikings fumbles the ball while being tackled by defender Tavon Wilson #32 of the Detroit Lions in the third quarter of the game on October 1, 2017 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Cook was injured on the play and left the game for the locker room. (Photo by Hannah Foslien/Getty Images)
Lions 14
Vikings 7 The sad irony here is that Dalvin Cook may not play again this year because of a noncontact knee injury. That’s a huge loss for a Minnesota offense that’s struggled without the brittle Sam Bradford. Meanwhile, Detroit’s surprising 3-1 start can be summed up in one word: Turnovers. The Lions are +9 (11 take-aways, only two turnovers) and Matthew Stafford’s clutch play is keeping them in games. (Photo by Hannah Foslien/Getty Images)

Rams 35
Cowboys 30 Though it wasn’t the whooping we were promised, the Rams went into Dallas and showed us this 3-1 start is way more credible than last year’s fraudulent one. A win over the Seahawks next week would be one helluva statement. (Photo by Ronald Martinez/Getty Images)

Falcons 17 On the same day O.J. Simpson gets released from prison, Buffalo beats a previously undefeated Super Bowl team in their new building to take sole possession of first place in the AFC East and make another Bills running back go crazy. (Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images)

Saints 20
Dolphins 0 Look, I love the Ed Hochuli gun show as much as anybody … but exporting a game with almost as many penalties (19) as points (20) isn’t how the NFL is going to get London to love the product. But give New Orleans credit — they’re only the third team since the advent of the forward pass to go turnover-free in their first four games of the season and their much-maligned defense pitched a shutout to take a huge step toward respectability. And that should have Adam Gase reconsidering his stance on his QB depth chart. (AP Photo/Matt Dunham)

Packers 35 Chicago didn’t just lose this game, they lost bragging rights in the NFL’s oldest rivalry. Green Bay’s win Thursday night gave them the lead in the all-time series (95-94-6) for the first time in 84 years. Paging Mitchell Trubisky … (Photo by Jonathan Daniel/Getty Images)
