Redskins cornerback Josh Norman goes ‘Dancing with the Stars’

WASHINGTON — Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman’s footwork is about to get the ultimate test.

Norman, the loquacious former first-team All-Pro, has been announced as one of the 10 contestants on Dancing With The Stars: Athletes.

Norman signed a five-year, $75 million contract with the Redskins in April 2016, just two days after being released by the Carolina Panthers.

In his two seasons in Washington, Norman has tallied 131 tackles, 26 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and three interceptions.

Norman’s dance partner is Sharna Burgess, a two-time runner up on the show.

Burgess has twice before been partnered with NFL players: Keyshawn Johnson and Antonio Brown.

Another contestant has an indirect tie to the Redskins.

Arike Ogunbowale, who led Notre Dame women’s basketball to the NCAA championship with two buzzer-beating shots in the Final Four, is the younger sister of former ‘Skins practice squad running back Dare Ogunbowale.

Disgraced figure skater Tonya Harding and NBA Hall-of-Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar are among the headliners for the show’s 26th season.

Dancing with the Stars: Athletes will premiere Monday, April 30 at 8 p.m.
