WASHINGTON — Metro said regular service has resumed on the Red Line at Van Ness station after a person fell between two train cars Friday morning.

Metro told WTOP’s Max Smith that a person trying to get on the train fell between two cars as the train was at the platform at Van Ness station.

Trains were single tracking for less than an hour, however there were residual delays as a result of the accident.

This is a developing story. WTOP’s Max Smith contributed to this report.
