Track work to disrupt all Metro lines this weekend

WASHINGTON — Track work disrupts all Metro lines this weekend, with the longest waits scheduled to be on the Red, Orange, Silver and Blue lines.

On the Red Line, trains are scheduled every 24 minutes between Shady Grove and Glenmont Saturday and Sunday, with some additional trains between Farragut North and Glenmont during the day.

On the Orange and Blue lines, single tracking outside Foggy Bottom means trains are also scheduled only every 24 minutes.

Silver Line trains are scheduled every 24 minutes and only run between Ballston and Wiehle-Reston East. The last Silver Line train from Wiehle-Reston East will depart 24 minutes earlier than usual, at 11:52 p.m. on Saturday and 9:52 p.m. Sunday.

Yellow Line trains are also cut back this weekend to run only between Huntington and Mt. Vernon Square. Trains are scheduled every 15 minutes.

Green Line trains are also scheduled to run every 15 minutes, with single tracking between Fort Totten and Prince George’s Plaza.
