Colonial parking guarantees Metro commuters a parking spot

WASHINGTON — If you’ve given up Metro during the transit agency’s massive repair schedule, you might be driving instead, and finding parking in the city is hard enough without all the extra driving commuters.

Colonial Parking, the largest parking garage operator in Washington, is offering Metro commuters who are currently driving a guaranteed, reserved parking spot at standard rates.

“As the largest parking provider in the region, we recognized the need to provide fair and reliable parking options for commuters who need to use their cars as an alternative to Metro during SafeTrack surges,” said Colonial CEO Andrew Blair.

Drivers can reserve a spot on Colonial Parking’s website by picking a general location, such as Dupont Circle or NoMa, then clicking on the garage that they want and following a few steps to make the reservation.

Colonial Parking has more than 250 parking facilities in the Washington region.

It says in the District, 90 percent of all commuters work within two blocks of a Colonial Parking facility.
