2015 NFL Week 13 Recap

This game was the perfect embodiment of the NFC East: a sloppy, awful eye sore that somebody won by accident. (AP Photo/Alex Brandon)

Ravens 13
Dolphins 15 Baltimore is the first team in NFL history to have all 12 of their games decided by 8 points or less. They’ve dropped eight of those games in part because Justin Tucker has lost his late game magic: he’s made just 2-of-8 kicks from 50 yards or longer, including a streak of five straight misses. New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham (13) runs away from New York Jets' Marcus Gilchrist (21) and Antonio Cromartie (31) for a touchdown during the first half of an NFL football game Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015, in East Rutherford, N.J. (AP Photo/Bill Kostroun)
Jets 23
Giants 20 (OT) Yes, Odell Beckham won the battle with Antonio Cromartie (and forced him to eat his words) but Gang Green won the war (for the first time since 1993). This might’ve been the best battle for Gotham’s soul since the Dark Knight. (AP Photo/Bill Kostroun)

Cardinals 27
Rams 3 This game can be summed up by the coaches: Bruce Arians can’t stand St. Louis and his team played like it. Jeff Fisher is out of answers and his team — losers of five straight and outscored 58-10 the last two weeks — plays like it. And congrats to Larry Fitzgerald for becoming the youngest player to reach 1,000 career catches. This guy doesn’t get enough due for being one of the all-time great receivers; maybe another Super Bowl run for Arizona will change that. (Photo by Dilip Vishwanat/Getty Images)

Bucs 23 I don’t know what was said in Atlanta’s players only meeting, but I’m sure it didn’t involve letting a rookie QB rush for 20 yards and go 4-for-4 passing for 42 yards and a score on the game-winning drive. (Photo by Rob Foldy/Getty Images)

Vikings 7 Adrian Peterson is pissed he only got eight carries (rightfully so), but it wouldn’t have mattered. Seattle is back and there’s nothing anyone outside Arizona can do about it. (AP Photo/Ann Heisenfelt)

Texans 21
Bills 30 Mario Williams was a non-factor against his former team, but Tyrod Taylor has given Buffalo’s playoff hopes life with back-to-back 3 TD, 0 INT games and set a franchise record with 187 straight passes without a pick. Now the only thing standing between the Bills and a long-awaited return to the playoffs is the NFC East and a rematch with the Jets. What could go wrong? (Photo by Tom Szczerbowski/Getty Images)

Browns 3 If the season ended today, Cincinnati would be the top seed in the AFC and Cleveland would have the top pick in the upcoming NFL draft. The Bengals have won three straight over the Browns by an average of 28 points so it might be time to change the name of this rivalry from “The Battle of Ohio” to “The Extra Bye Week for Cincy.” (AP Photo/Ron Schwane)

Titans 42 Marcus Mariota’s unbelievable rookie season continued with a whopping 380 total yards (112 rushing) and 5 TDs. Apparently, holy water isn’t just being used for injuries. (Photo by Wesley Hitt/Getty Images)

Bears 20 (OT) I know Chicago hasn’t been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs … but a team that lets Blaine friggin’ Gabbert look like Mike Vick circa 2006 has no place in the postseason. (AP Photo/Charles Rex Arbogast)

Chargers 3 Denver’s top-ranked defense has scored a league-best five touchdowns this season and made Philip Rivers look like a bum in what might have been his — and the Chargers’ — second-to-last game in San Diego. L.A. might actually be better off with an expansion team. (AP Photo/Denis Poroy)

Raiders 20 Kansas City reestablished themselves as a wild card favorite and Oakland reestablished themselves as a more literal Black Hole. Cue the Raider Nation:

Panthers 41
Saints 38 New Orleans ended an amazing streak of 10 straight home games without intercepting a pass — the longest such drought since 1933, when the league first started recording picks as a statistic — but they should take pride in 1) scoring four offensive TDs on one of the league’s best defenses and 2) becoming the first NFL team to score a defensive two point conversion. Now if they can just get their pass defense to stop playing like this: (AP Photo/Jonathan Bachman)

Patriots 28 This is more than just Philly’s first win in New England in 28 years … it’s the single most stunning upset of 2015. The Pats had gone 56 straight games without consecutive losses, and the Eagles looked like a dead team walking after giving up 90 points in two games last week. Suddenly, the battle is joined in the division nobody wants to win. (Photo by Jim Rogash/Getty Images)

Packers 27
Lions 23 Detroit was basically screwed out of their first sweep of Green Bay since 1991 thanks to a BS facemask penalty and a ridiculous throw by Aaron Rodgers. More importantly, the Packers’ 4th largest comeback in team history just saved their season (and my preseason Super Bowl pick). And how cool was it that the guy who caught the Hail Mary was the son of another historic late-game hero? (Photo by Andrew Weber/Getty Images)
