NFL Week 5 Recap

SAN DIEGO, CA - OCTOBER 12: Quarterback Mike Vick #2 of the Pittsburgh Steelers celebrates with running back Le'Veon Bell #26 of the Pittsburgh Steelers after a 4th quarter touchdown against the San Diego Chargers at Qualcomm Stadium on October 12, 2015 in San Diego, California. Steelers 24 Chargers 20 San Diego got Antonio Gates back in the lineup and Philip Rivers wasted no time hooking up with Gates for their 100th TD … but he also hooked up with Antwon Blake for a Pick 6 that provided Mike Vick the help he needed to pull off his first 4th-quarter game-winning drive since 2012. Pittsburgh will need more of the Vick of old (rather than just an old Vick) if they’re going to survive this Sunday’s visit from Arizona on a short week. (Photo by Jeff Gross/Getty Images)
ATLANTA, GA - OCTOBER 11: Robert Alford #23 of the Atlanta Falcons returns an interception for a touchdown in their 25-19 overtime win against the Washington Redskins at Georgia Dome on October 11, 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia. (Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images)
Redskins 19 Falcons 25 (OT) Atlanta is 5-0 for the second time in team history, Devonta Freeman is the first player in a decade to score eight rushing TDs in his team’s first five games of a season, and the Falcons D shut down the ‘Skins’ league-leading rushing attack and Pick Sixed Kirk Cousins for a walk-off win. Kyle Shanahan wins at life. (Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images)
BALTIMORE, MD - OCTOBER 11: Quarterback Josh McCown #13 of the Cleveland Browns throws the ball in the second quarter of a game against the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium on October 11, 2015 in Baltimore, Maryland. (Photo by Patrick Smith/Getty Images)
Browns 33 Ravens 30 (OT) Josh McCown is balling out of his mind: Lucky #13 threw for a franchise-record 457 yards and 2 touchdowns (none better than this gem) to get Cleveland their first win in Baltimore since 2007 (also a 33-30 game in overtime, ironically) and snap an ugly streak of 10 consecutive losses in divisional openers (the longest streak since 1970 merger). I can’t tell if the Brownies are that much better or if the Ravens are suddenly that bad. (Photo by Patrick Smith/Getty Images)
KANSAS CITY, MO - OCTOBER 11: Jamaal Charles #25 of the Kansas City Chiefs is aided off the field after injury by Justin Houston #50 of the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium during the game on October 11, 2015 in Kansas City, Missouri. (Photo by Jamie Squire/Getty Images)
Bears 18 Chiefs 17 KC is cooked. Losing at home to Jay Cutler is bad, but losing Jamaal Charles and his league-leading 38 touchdowns in three years is potentially devastating when Alex Smith is your QB. (Photo by Jamie Squire/Getty Images)
CINCINNATI, OH - OCTOBER 11: Domata Peko #94 of the Cincinnati Bengals celebrates after making a defensive stop during overtime against the Seattle Seahawks at Paul Brown Stadium on October 11, 2015 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Seahawks 24 Bengals 27 (OT) Mother Earth helped Cincinnati close out the game with 20 unanswered points to start 5-0 for the first time since 1988 — the last time they went to the Super Bowl. I can still change my AFC pick for the Super Bowl, right? (Photo by Andy Lyons/Getty Images)
PHILADELPHIA, PA - OCTOBER 11: Sam Bradford #7 of the Philadelphia Eagles greets Drew Brees #9 of the New Orleans Saints after the game on October 11, 2015 at Lincoln Financial field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Eagles defeated the Saints 39-17. (Photo by Mitchell Leff/Getty Images)
Saints 17 Eagles 39 Sam Bradford is the first quarterback this season to be intercepted twice in the red zone in the same game, meaning Philly’s romp actually could’ve been much worse than this. That says way more about the Saints than it does the Eagles. (Photo by Mitchell Leff/Getty Images)
GREEN BAY, WI - OCTOBER 11: Quarterback Aaron Rodgers #12 of the Green Bay Packers poses with fans prior to the game against the St. Louis Rams at Lambeau Field on October 11, 2015 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. (Photo by Mike McGinnis/Getty Images)
Rams 10 Packers 24 Aaron Rodgers had his first multi-interception game at home since Week 7 of 2010 and his first three turnover game since Week 9 of 2009 … yet still won by 14. Every week there’s a new reason why Green Bay is the team to beat in the NFC. (Photo by Mike McGinnis/Getty Images)
NASHVILLE, TN - OCTOBER 11: Head coach Rex Ryan of the Buffalo Bills celebrates with Richie Incognito #64 after the game against the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium on October 11, 2015 in Nashville, Tennessee. The Bills defeated the Titans 14-13. (Photo by Joe Robbins/Getty Images)
Bills 14 Titans 13 Much like the Joker, Rex Ryan is a man of his word: Buffalo got the penalties down to seven (must’ve been the push-ups) and Marcus Mariota wasn’t a factor. I’m not sure it counts as revenge for the Music City Miracle, but the Bills are still on track for that return to the playoffs we were promised. (Photo by Joe Robbins/Getty Images)
DETROIT MI - OCTOBER 11: Matthew Stafford of the Detroit Lions walks off the field holding his shoulder after being sacked by the Arizona Cardinals in the second quarter on October 11, 2015 at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. (Photo by Leon Halip/Getty Images)
Cardinals 42 Lions 17 I’m genuinely stunned that Detroit is 0-5. Matthew Stafford is the new Human Turnover, their ground game is on the back of a milk carton, and the defense can’t stop a nosebleed. The Lions should do Calvin Johnson a favor and trade him to either New England or Carolina. (Photo by Leon Halip/Getty Images)
ARLINGTON, TX - OCTOBER 11: Quarterback Tom Brady #12 of the New England Patriots drops back to pass during the second half of the NFL game against the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium on October 11, 2015 in Arlington, Texas. Patriots 30 Cowboys 6 Dear Greg Hardy, Bring your guns. Talk about my wife. Put out a weak rap video. Hell, I’ll even let you and the Cowpokes sack me five times in the first half. But I must break you. The football gods (and karma) demand it. Love, Tom Brady (Photo by Christian Petersen/Getty Images)
OAKLAND, CA - OCTOBER 11: Peyton Manning #18 of the Denver Broncos returns to the sideline during pregame against the Oakland Raiders at O.co Coliseum on October 11, 2015 in Oakland, California. (Photo by Thearon W. Henderson/Getty Images)
Broncos 16 Raiders 10 This game can be summed up by two words: Peyton’s picks. Charles Woodson was openly pining to get Peyton for the first time, and he did it twice to become the first 39-year-old to intercept another 39-year-old. That leaves Manning with seven interceptions this year, the first time since his rookie season he’s got more INTs than TDs this deep into a season. Yet Denver’s still undefeated because their defense scored. Again. Go figure. (Photo by Thearon W. Henderson/Getty Images)
EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ - OCTOBER 11: Eli Manning #10 of the New York Giants celebrates after he threw the game winning touchdown pass in the fourth quarter against the San Francisco 49ers at MetLife Stadium on October 11, 2015 in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The New York Giants defeated the San Francisco 49ers 30-27. 49ers 27 Giants 30 Meanwhile, Eli Manning set a Giants-record (41 completions) to set another Giants-record (102 career wins) and move New York into the NFC East penthouse all by themselves. Eli’s 100.2 QB rating and the Giants’ newfound swagger entering back-to-back division games (at Eagles, vs Cowboys) has me suffering flashbacks to a red-faced Tom Coughlin upsetting their way to the Super Bowl … (Photo by Elsa/Getty Images)
HOUSTON, TX - OCTOBER 08: Andrew Luck #12 of the Indianapolis Colts, right talks with Matt Hasselbeck #8 before a game against the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium on October 8, 2015 in Houston, Texas. (Photo by Ronald Martinez/Getty Images)
Colts 27 Texans 20 Indy tapped the geriatric ward to carry them to some pretty epic streaks: the Colts won their 16th straight within the AFC South (the longest divisional win streak since the AFL/NFL merger), 11th straight win on Thursday Night (longest active streak), and 6th straight over the Texans. All thanks to 40 year-old Matt Hasselbeck (2 touchdowns to 34 year-old former Texan Andre Johnson despite, um, having it come out both ends before the game), 32 year-old Frank Gore (98 yards and a score), and 42 year-old Adam Vinatieri (made both of his field goals and all three extra points). It’s a good thing this Hasselbeck/Luck situation isn’t playing out here in Washington; it would be a full blown QB controversy … (Photo by Ronald Martinez/Getty Images)
