4 face charges in apparent Va. murder that involved a burning car

WASHINGTON — Authorities have arrested three adults and a juvenile in the apparent homicide of a person whose body was found inside a burning car in Prince William County, Virginia.

Prince William County police Wednesday announced the arrests of Manuel Enrique Robles Lopez, 21, of Manassas, Virginia; Erick Alexander Contreras Navarro, 23, of Manassas; Denis Ludwin Espinal Alvares, 19, of Oxon Hill, Maryland; and a 17-year-old male from Woodbridge, Virginia.

The juvenile, Navarro and Alvares face murder charges. Lopez has been charged with accessory to murder after the fact.

The U.S. Marshals’ fugitive task force assisted in the arrests. Lopez and the juvenile were reportedly arrested in Prince William County. Navarro and Alvares were found in Wilson, North Carolina and await extradition.

The body was discovered March 15 in Woodbridge’s Veterans Park. Authorities said they have preliminarily identified the victim. The cause of death remains under investigation.
