WASHINGTON — Prince William County school officials are closer to finalizing a site a new high school, needed to ease overcrowding, school officials announced Thursday.
A public meeting has been set for Nov. 9 to present preliminary plans for the school and its proposed location at Linton Hall Road at Rollins Ford Road, south of Lee Highway. School officials also are expected to address community concerns and get feedback.
The Nov. 9 meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the auditorium of Stonewall Jackson High School, which is at 8820 Rixlew Lane, Manassas.
The new school, which would be the Virginia county’s 13th high school, would relieve overcrowding at Patriot, Battlefield and Stonewall Jackson high schools.
