Camp Springs man charged with shooting step-daughter’s father

WASHINGTON — A 38-year-old Camp Springs, Maryland, man has been arrested and charged in the fatal shooting of his step-daughter’s father early Saturday morning.

According to Prince George’s County police, Marcus Burns shot 35-year-old Damon Palmer and another man during an argument in Burns’ home on Maxwell Drive sometime after midnight.

Palmer was pronounced dead on the scene and a second victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Police say Burns has admitted to shooting the victims and is being charged with first- and second-degree murder and other related charges.
