Prince George’s Co. police officer indicted on misconduct, other charges

WASHINGTON — A Prince George’s County police officer was indicted by a grand jury Thursday on multiple charges.

Cpl. Adrian Crudup has been indicted on charges of witness intimidation, misconduct in office and accessory after the fact.

He’s accused of interfering with an ongoing police investigation.

Because that investigation is still going on, John Erzen with the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office, said he can’t provide any more details at this point.

“We want to make sure that we don’t do anything to jeopardize the investigation or the case against this officer.  When the investigation fully concludes, we will come back and be able to share more information with everyone,” Erzen told WTOP.

Prince George’s County police launched an internal investigation of Crudup in May of 2015, and last October his police powers were suspended.

Now, as a result of the indictment, Crudup has been suspended without pay.

Crudup has been with the police department for nine years and is assigned to the Bureau of Investigation.
