Natural gas leak forces Gaithersburg evacuations

WASHINGTON — About a dozen homes had to be evacuated in Gaithersburg, Maryland, after a 1-inch, high-pressure gas line leaked Tuesday morning.

Pete Piringer, spokesman for Montgomery County Fire, says the leak occurred in the 200 block of Beckwith Street.

No fire nor injuries have been reported.
