WHEATON, Md. — Two people were stabbed outside the Wheaton Metro station on Sunday afternoon.
Police said the victims were teenage boys, one 15-year-old and another 16-year-old.
The incident was reported at around 3:15 p.m. Initially, Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service said the two teens who were stabbed suffered life-threatening injuries. But their conditions were later described as “minor.”
The stabbing occurred in the west entrance of the station, not far from the bus bays along Veirs Mill Road, according to authorities at the scene.
Police said a suspect had been identified, but that they were still looking for two other suspects. The victims and the suspects may have known each other, police added.
Police have been interviewing witnesses and reviewing surveillance video.
