Powerball estimated to be $455M

WASHINGTON — Someone might be a whole lot richer by the end of this weekend.

No one has won either the Mega Millions or Powerball jackpots since the first week of January, which means there’s a lot of money on the line for this weekend’s drawings.

Friday night’s Mega Million jackpot is currently up to $345 million and might still rise before the drawing.

Saturday night’s Powerball jackpot rolled over to an estimated $455 million.

In case you were wondering, Powerball the odds of winning the grand prize are 1 in 292,201,388 while the odds of winning the Mega Millions are 1 in 302,575,350.

That means you’re actually more likely to be killed from a falling meteorite than winning the lotto, but hey! There’s still a chance!
