Weekend storm brings low snow totals in D.C. area but scenic views nearby

A polite coating of snow fell in the WTOP listening area Friday afternoon into Sunday morning and while the snow totals didn’t measure up to earlier storms in January, the winter weather made for the same slick sidewalks and roads.

Windy conditions Saturday added to snow’s affect as flakes were brushed up after landing, impacting visibility. Areas on the cusp of the District saw far more snowfall, creating scenic winter wonderland views — even at the beach.
