Kansas City reversed the second-half trend in this matchup — the Chiefs were outscored 34-6 in the second half of the last two losses to Cincinnati — but it still wasn’t enough to win in the Queen City for the first time since 1984. The Bengals have won six of seven against the Chiefs and Joe Burrow is clearly Patrick Mahomes’ kryptonite.

For the second time this season, a Pro Bowl quarterback made his debut for his new team on the road against his former team.
Exactly 700 days since his last game as a Texan, Deshaun Watson (with his accusers in attendance) posted the worst QBR of his career in his first game for the Browns. Cleveland clearly made this controversial trade for 2023 and beyond — and we shouldn’t expect the Browns to be any good until then.

This was the battle between the two worst teams of 2021 but only one looked like they’d be picking in the top two again next year.
Detroit scored on eight (8!) straight drives and even played some good defense to quietly stay on the periphery of the playoff picture in the NFC. Considering they beat Washington head-to-head, the Burgundy and Gold better watch their backs.

Even as Green Bay struggles with their Aaron Rodgers problems (and there’s definitely more than one), the Packers surpassed their hated rival for the most franchise wins in NFL history, pushing Chicago out of that perch for the first time in more than a century. Bears fans’ only hope to take the baton back is a Justin Fields reign that rivals Rodgers’ in Titletown. Good luck, Chicago.

The 35-year-old safety — who has missed only five games in his career and none since 2015 — should garner more attention for being one of the greatest Patriots ever.
