The “Seasons Greenings” holiday display is up now at the US Botanic Garden.
If you can’t make it to all the D.C. landmark buildings this holiday season, you can still see the Thomas Jefferson Memorial made out of bark, the Smithsonian Castle made out of pine cones or even the White House made out of leaves. More than 20 landmarks and monuments from around D.C. made from plants and acorns, eucalyptus and fruit are on display inside the conservatory building of the U.S. Botanic Garden.
Outside, there were model trains running through plants shaped like pollinators. The trains will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day, with no tickets needed. The trains will not run on Christmas Day.
