#OrangeChickenLove food truck tour hits Georgetown

WASHINGTON– If you like free food, Georgetown is the place to be on Sunday.

A Panda Express food truck is scheduled to be parked at Wisconsin and M Streets NW in the PNC Bank parking lot from 1-5 p.m. Sunday.

That’s where they’ll be handing out free 8-ounce servings of Orange Chicken and rice.

It’s part of the restaurant chain’s nationwide Orange Chicken Love food truck tour.

“We’re celebrating America’s love for this original Orange Chicken by hitting the road and thanking the fans,”  District Manager Eddie Chaib tells WTOP.

Panda Express chef Andy Kao created Orange Chicken in the late 80s.

In addition to the free food, if you visit the truck in Georgetown you’ll be invited to relax in an Orange Chicken lounge, walk an orange carpet, and take a picture in a photo booth.

There will also be swag giveaways and a chance to win free Orange Chicken for a year.

Chaib says arriving early is a good idea.

“From our experience in the previous cities, people line up and are there even before we open.”
