Q&A: ‘Jersey Shore’ cast talks MTV’s ‘Family Vacation’

WASHINGTON — The cast members from “Jersey Shore” might all be in their 30s now, but that doesn’t stop the “Gym, Tan, Laundry” crew from reliving their party ways on “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation,” which airs Thursday nights on MTV.

The original reality program debuted in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, back in 2009 and lasted six seasons, filming in the Garden State, South Beach and even Florence, Italy.

The 2018 reboot is filmed in South Beach once again with most of the same housemates, with the exception of Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola. She chose not to relive some of the drama she experienced during her tumultuous on-again, off-again relationship with Ronnie Magro.

On the first two episodes, it was revealed that Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Vinnie Guadagnino both now have girlfriends. We also learn Sorrentino has been sober for nearly two years and pleaded guilty to one count of tax evasion in January. Sentencing is April 25.

Mike spoke with WTOP and talked about the challenges he faced while others around him drank alcohol. The guys also discussed whether they’ve still got the stamina to hang in the club:

Meanwhile, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Deena Cortese are both married. Snooki & Jennifer “J-Woww” Farley and Pauly D all have kids, while Magro has one on the way (he’s calling this trip his “Dadchelor” party).

Nicole and Deena joined WTOP to discuss some of their favorite Seaside Heights dive bars, whether their “Meatballs” tag team could have a future in a WWE ring, and what they’re doing now to stay in shape despite living a hectic lifestyle:

“Jersey Shore: Family Vacation” airs at 8 p.m. Thursdays on MTV.
