Adult man stabbed at Georgia Ave-Petworth Metro station

WASHINGTON — Metro Transit Police are investigating a stabbing of an adult man that happened at the Georgia Avenue-Petworth station Sunday evening.

The victim was taken to the hospital conscious and breathing. The incident was domestic in nature and the assailant was a white female, according to Metro Police.

Police said the man was taken to the hospital but was “not cooperating” with the investigation.

The station was closed for about 45 minutes because the only other entrance to the station was being renovated. It has since reopened. Green and Yellow line services have returned to weekend hours.
