Pedestrian dead in Md. tractor-trailer crash on I-95

WASHINGTON — A pedestrian is dead following a tractor-trailer crash Tuesday morning near Baltimore on Interstate 95.

Around 2:30 a.m., Maryland State Troopers from the JFK Memorial Highway Barracks responded to a report of a crash on northbound I-95 near the King Avenue overpass in the White Marsh area.

There, they found emergency medical personnel treating the victim at the scene, who was pronounced dead.

The driver of the tractor trailer, identified as Michael McDonough, 59, of Edgewood, Maryland, stayed on the scene and is cooperating with authorities.

As of 5:30 a.m., northbound I-95 is closed before the Baltimore Beltway and traffic is being rerouted onto the Baltimore Beltway by Maryland Transportation Authority Police. Expect delays.

No charges have been filed yet.
