Abby is originally from Denver, Colorado, and she moved to D.C. in 2021 to attend American University, where she studied journalism and women/gender studies. During her time at American, she wrote for several local magazines, such as Tagg Magazine, The D.C. Line, and DC Trending.

After graduating in 2024, she worked at WJLA/ABC7 as a production assistant.

Abby currently hosts and produces the podcast, Queering the District, which explores D.C.’s LGBTQ+ history.

She has a passion for covering local art stories and the LGBTQ+ community.
