Police: Rabies risk in Fairfax County neighborhood

WASHINGTON — Animal Control officers are letting a Fairfax County neighborhood know about a rabies risk in the area Thursday.

Officers are handing out rabies information to residents in the Rose Hill area after a dog was bitten by a rabid fox in the 4400 block of Upland Drive last week.

The dog was vaccinated and there were no other exposures to the fox, Fairfax County police say.
