Freeze warning issued for parts of DC area

WASHINGTON — Grab a jacket if you’re going out on this spring day, a chill is in the air.

The National Weather Services has issued a freeze warning until 9 a.m. for northern Montgomery, Loudoun, Fauquier and Frederick counties, as well as areas north and west of D.C.

Temperatures fell in the upper 20s to lower 30s overnight, which means that crops and other sensitive vegetation may be damaged, NWS said.

But warm temperatures in the 60s with plenty of sun await for the rest of Saturday, Storm Team4’s Amelia Draper said.
