Anne Arundel landmark restaurant closing after 83 years

Snyder’s Willow Grove Restaurant, an Anne Arundel County staple for 83 years, will close its doors by the end of January, the restaurant’s owners announced on Facebook.

The message from the Snyder family said:

“To all of our friends and customers, it is with a heavy heart that we have to say goodbye after 83 years. Our lease is coming to an end and we have decided it would be best not to renew. We will be closing at the end of January 2020. We ask if you or anyone that you know has a gift certificate, please use them before we close. It has been our pleasure serving you and the community through our many years.”

The family took to Facebook in November 2018 to quell rumors that it was closing then. “The accusations are false and we will continue to serve the community as long as people keep coming in,” a Nov. 30, 2018 post read.
