Police: Manassas man fatally stabs woman, turns knife on self

WASHINGTON — Police said a man fatally stabbed a woman in Manassas, Virginia before turning the knife on himself.

Police were called to a residence in the 7300 block of Forrester Lane at around 6:20 p.m. Friday, what was described as a “domestic incident.”

Silvia Patricia Ramos Guillen, 40, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said she was stabbed during an argument with a 40-year-old man from Manassas. The man has not been identified by police and his relationship to the woman is unclear.

Police said after stabbing Guillen, the man went to another part of the residence and stabbed himself.

Residents tried to intervene and called police. Officers found the wounded bodies and tried to administer aid before emergency responders arrived.

The man was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police said charges were pending against him.
