Frontier Airlines will expand its nonstop service at BWI/Marshall Airport in the spring of 2020 with three new routes.
The low-cost airline will launch flights to Miami and San Juan, Puerto Rico, on April 23, it announced Wednesday. Flights to San Salvador, El Salvador, will begin on June 18.
The El Salvador flights will mark Frontier’s first entry into Central America, the airline said. The National Capital region is home to the country’s second largest population of Salvadorans, with 300,000 Salvadoran residents according to U.S. Census Bureau data.
Frontier already offers two nonstop routes to and from Baltimore. Flights to Denver started in March, followed by service to Orlando in April.
In a statement, BWI CEO Ricky Smith said the three new Frontier routes will offer “more convenience for our passengers.” One-way flights from Baltimore to Miami start at $36, according to Frontier’s website, while tickets to San Juan start at $64 and tickets to San Salvador start at $74.
