The decision to eliminate a planned entrance to the proposed Potomac Yard Metro station has sparked outrage for some in Alexandria.
Homeowners in the city of Alexandria will not have to pay higher real estate taxes in 2019 after the city council voted against any tax hikes for real estate, vehicles or business tangible property. Their tax rates could even be lower than the current rate of 1.13 percent.
